Since its foundation in 1725, the production of art and architecture-related art cast creations (sculptures, fountains, railings, etc.) has been carried out in close cooperation with visual artists. The production of replicas of artistic utility and decorative objects (candlesticks, bowls, boxes, mirrors, clock holders, wall plates, reliefs, small sculptures, silhouettes, plaques, Schinkel furniture, etc.) as well as grave ornaments, elements for street furniture and historical door and window fittings round off our product range.
The moulding of exhibits with the help of silicone rubber and other materials as well as the construction of models on customer request form the starting point for the production of casting moulds. Our specialists rely on traditional hand moulding using sand moulding and lost wax processes, supplemented by the ceramic moulding process. We use iron, bronze, zinc, tin, aluminium, brass, nickel silver and other non-ferrous metals as raw materials.
Our staff have decades of experience and expertise in the restoration of our own and other people's art casting exhibits, also with constantly refined technologies.
The exhibits of the art foundry are appreciated by our partners worldwide from the American continent to Europe to Japan and Africa.
Who we are
The Kunstgießerei Lauchhammer, located in Lauchhammer, Brandenburg, is one of the highest quality and most traditional foundries in Germany. No other foundry in Germany offers iron casting (grey cast iron) to the same extent as Lauchhammer. The foundry has decades of experience and expertise in the restoration of its own and external art casting exhibits.
Masterpieces
The Lauchhammer art foundry produces classical and modern sculptures, sculptures, fountains and railings, candlesticks, bowls, boxes and mirrors, wall plates, reliefs, small sculptures, silhouettes and plaques, as well as historical Schinkel furniture based on the designs of Karl Friedrich Schinkel from the 19th century. The masterfully executed products are made of bronze, iron, zinc, pewter, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, nickel silver and other non-ferrous metals.
Service
In addition to its own series and art castings, the Kunstgießerei Lauchhammer offers special reconstructions, restorations and replicas, as well as the production of reduced or enlarged copies, individual design and expert advice on site, as well as assembly, maintenance service and repairs.
How we work
